*Stabs Pen Through Ear*

I hate when something random makes me think of some even more random song and it gets stuck in my head. This morning a patient called that couldn't quite decide what she wanted.

Uhhh: I'd like uhh...
Me: Yes?
Uhhh: I'd uhh like... Uhhh
Uhhh: I'd like to... uhhh...
Me: Teach the world to sing? Furnish it with love?
Uhhh: What?
Me: Nothing, Maam. What would you like?

Suffer, bitches...

Jon Stewart's Commentary on Mel Gibson

I'm passed it now, and moving on to laughing about it thanks to some great people both online and off. *smiles* Speaking of laughter, here's Jon Stewart's take on the whole ordeal. While his report is a perfect example of why I don't watch television it's also the only reason I would start watching again.

Not 'Quite' As Sexy...

I was going to post Selma Hayak dancing from the movie From Dead til Dawn... but the damn thing wouldn't load. So instead... Here's Stephen Colbert showing you the 'proper' way to use a condomn.

Letterman Drop Kicks Coulter

I'm not a huge Letterman fan, but he really slammed Coulter for her 'Clinton is gay' comment.

Pink Controversy

How ironic. I link Pink's video for Dear Mister President along with the lyrics and get slammed by people debating the 'depth' of her song. Like it. Hate it. I don't care. The fact that this song has people talking about what's happening in America is a good thing. A pop singer decides to voice her opinion on what's happening in this world and everyone says she's riding the Bush Haters bandwagon. Maybe she is, maybe she isn't. But she got you thinking, so in my book the song is good. It's not as deep as say... the teachings of Socrates. But it's a big step up from Get The Party Started (which I also like so biteme).

Look around you. Most will see videos, televisions, game consoles, the latest in footwear. Look in your frig. How much food did you have to throw out in the past month? Is it full? What about your cupboards? Look above you. See that roof? Nice, huh. We're lucky, you and I. We have so much and yet all we can do is measure a person's sincerity about how they feel based on a song. Sometimes you just need to stand up and speak your mind. You may get bitch slapped right back into your chair but at least you stood up. Pink stood up. She could have just stuck to fluff songs. Instead she spoke her mind and someone said she should join the Dixi Chicks. Clever... The Dixie Chicks stood their ground during a time where rednecks ruled the roost. They where bashed, slammed and ostracized. They stood their ground. I give them credit for that. People are finally beginning to see how bad things have gotten. They are FINALLY starting to speak up. I'm not saying you have to like Pink. I just think you should appreciate that she got you thinking.

Avast!

I am dying to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. My only reservation is that they are making a third one at the same time. That can only mean one thing: A fucking cliffhanger. I loathe cliffhangers. I want to see what happens NOW! When Kill Bill Part ONE came out we waited until Part TWO was about to be released to watch it. No way was I going to be left hanging. Now I'm left with a huge decision: See this movie when it comes out or wait until the third installment is almost ready. Watch this video. What would YOU do?

The REAL Paris Hilton... If There Is Such a Thing

A few weeks ago I posted about the Paris Hilton ad that had just come out. I saw the spoof and couldn't resist posting it. For those who haven't seen the actual ad, here's the REAL Paris Hilton ad.

I was going to post sooner, but there has been some major problems with Moveable Type lately and they're still working on it. Thanks to Bane I can post. Anyway, enjoy!
